L.A. or the City of Angels
Los Angeles was founded September 4, 1781, by Felipe de Neve, as “El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Angeles del Río de Porciúncula” (The Village of Our Lady, the Queen of the Angels of the river of Porziuncola)... Now L.A. is the largest city in California, and the second largest in the United States.
The city stretches north to the foothills of the Santa Monica Mountains and is bounded by the San Gabriel Mountains to the east. Situated on a wide, dry plain speckled with canyons, mountains, rivers, beaches, Los Angeles is a great, sunny, very diverse city.
The surfers travel the coast to find the best waves, wherever there are weaves, we can see surfers who try to ride them. Surf is a sport, a religion, a lifestyle. The surfers are addict, they dream to ride the monster waves of Ghost Tree near Pebble Beach or Mavericks in Half Moon Bay.
Of course, the greater Los Angeles area is the most important site in The United States for movie and television production. This has drawn actors, writers, composers, artists, singers, and other creative individuals to the area. There are more than 150 museums, like the Getty Center.
